I have created this wikispace page so that if you have questions about weekly homework assignments you have another resource to help you and your child complete the activities. If your questions are not answered here please feel free to call the school or email me directly. Your child's homework will come home in a binder. In the very front of the binder you will find a daily agenda. Check the agenda each night to make sure your child's homework is complete.
Happy Homeworking!

Word Study Contract
Word Study Contract homework assignment is sent home on Monday (or the first school day of the week). The purpose of the Word Study Contract is for students to practice words that follow a pattern during the week so they are ready for the word study test on Friday. Students are responsible for 40 points each week. If a student only completes part of the assignment he/she will earn partial credit. Inserted in your child's homework binder is the Spelling Contract assignment sheet. The same activity may not be repeated within any one week. The homework folder needs to be returned to school daily but the assignments are not due until Friday (or the last school day of the week). Spelling Contract homework will be 10% of your child's writing grade and if done correctly and regularly can make a difference on your child's report card.
The Word Study Contract assignment sheet is available below for you to download and print of you should need another copy.
The only way to become a better reader is to read. It is required that every student read 30 minutes every night. A reading log will be sent home for you or your child to complete. Please make sure you see or hear your child reading and sign the log each night.
Math Homework
Math homework will be sent home each night. The homework that will be sent home will allow your child to practice skills that they are currently learning in class as well as review practice to maintain their skills. Please encourage your child to SHOW ALL WORK when completing their assignments.
